About themes and dark mode

Does a theme restyle the whole of GoHighLevel or only the sidebar?

The whole app. A theme sets the sidebar, header, page background, cards, buttons, inputs, tables, tabs and modals, and the colour remap replaces the blue GoHighLevel hard-codes across its pages.

Can I use my own brand colours instead of a preset?

Yes. A theme is a starting point. Every colour, font, corner radius and shadow can be changed in the editor and you see the result in the live preview before you save.

Which package includes themes and dark mode?

All three. Themes, UI kits, dark mode, colours, logo and the sidebar or top-bar layout are in Depot Lite, the entry package at $179 one time, and in everything above it.

What is a UI kit and how is it different from a theme?

A theme sets colours, type and layout. A UI kit sets the shape of the components: how cards, buttons, inputs, tables and modals are drawn. There are 11 kits and any theme can wear any kit.

How does dark mode work in GoHighLevel?

Pick one of the 3 dark themes, or switch a theme to its dark palette. It covers pages with the GoHighLevel sidebar; the login page keeps its own design, which you choose separately.

Will my clients see the new theme straight away?

Yes. The loader line fetches the latest saved version, so every sub-account picks up a change on its next page load.

Is there anything a theme cannot reach?

A few screens, such as parts of Location Settings, load inside a frame from another domain. Browsers do not allow outside styling there, so those areas keep the stock look.

Do I need to know CSS to use a theme?

No. Everything is chips, colour pickers and sliders in the editor. If you do write CSS, there is room for your own on top, but none is required.
